Choices

Year 9 is a time of choices which will support what you will be learning over the next two years for your GCSEs.  Use these pages to get as much information as possible to help you to make your choices and to understand the process you need to do to let school know what you want to study

Submission of Options

The first form to complete is the Taster Day form.  You can download a duplicate copy of the Taster Day form before the 8 February deadline.

Once you have read all the material, done your research and spoken to your teachers you can submit your final options from 15 March 2022.  This will be done via SIMS Options and we will post a user guide on these pages after half term.

  • Weds 1 February: In-person Information Evening for Parents
  • Weds 8 February: Submission of Options Morning choices
  • Weds 15 February: Options Morning
  • Tues 28 February: Year 9 Parent/Teacher Consultation
  • Wed 1 March:  SIMS Options online portal open
  • Friday 3 March: Deadline for applications for Reduced Core
  • Wed 15 March: Deadline for submission of GCSE options
  • March – May: Processing of options forms
    • Consultation with individual students
    • Final option choices confirmed
  • May/June: Students informed of options choices
