In previous years Heart of England Sixth Form students have taken part in a wide range of Enrichment Activities to broaden their experience whilst studying. There are activities to expand their natural talents and activities to access information and resources for success after Sixth Form.
Heart of England also runs the Duke of Edinburgh award, offering bronze, silver and gold. Each week participating students meet to learn skills and practice for the tasks required for the award, leading to a journey of self-discovery, development and achievement. The scheme is well known and respected by employers and universities and offers our students a further opportunity to embody the core values of our school.
Students have the use of the facilities on site: Fitness Room, Dance Studio and Sports Hall for badminton, netball or trampoline. We also have football, netball and rugby teams who compete against other sixth forms. A course of six golf lessons at Stonebridge Golf course which have been free to the students have been arranged in the last two years.
Productions are staged each year at the school and the Sixth Form students have the opportunity to audition for parts and can assist with all aspects of putting on a full scale musical.
Heart of England students can gain new experiences in the NCS Challenge with a chance to learn new skills and meet new people. It’s an exciting opportunity to discover new talent and realise potential.
