Sixth Form Prospectus: Enrichment

Enrichment

Heart of England Sixth Form students take part in a wide range of Enrichment Activities to broaden their experience whilst studying. There are activities to expand their natural talents and activities to access information and resources for success after Sixth Form.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

Heart of England runs the Duke of Edinburgh award, offering bronze, silver and gold.  Each week participating students meet to learn skills and practice for the tasks required for the award, leading to a journey of self-discovery, development and achievement.  The scheme is well known and respected by employers and universities and offers our students a further opportunity to embody the core values of our school.

Drama

Productions are staged each year at the school and the Sixth Form students have the opportunity to audition for parts and can assist with all aspects of putting on a full scale musical.

Debate Club

Students can take part in a weekly debate club. Each week a current topic is debated and students get the opportunity to argue and defend their case.

Reading Buddies and Maths Mentoring

Sixth Form students have the opportunity to support and mentor students lower down the school.
