Heart of England School is a provider for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is as a licensed organisation through the official scheme and we provide for all levels of the award:

• Year 10 – Bronze Award (launching end of Year 9)
• Year 11 – Silver Award
• Year 12 and Year 13 – Gold Award

By joining one of our DofE programmes, students learn skills and practice for the tasks required for the award which lead to a journey of self-discovery, development and achievement.  The scheme is well known and respected by employers and universities, giving an indication of the qualities of those young people who have the award.

DofE at Heart of England is different to some schools in that in addition to school staff, the majority of Expedition training and supervision is provided by external volunteer leaders; parents or members of the wider community.

We are always looking to grow our team of volunteers, so if you are interested in the outdoors and supporting young people through their DofE journeys, please contact us.
