Early Lunch: Monday 9 January
Lunch will be at an earlier time on Monday due to an external exam (iMedia).
- 0855-0920: Registration
- 0920-1020: Period 1
- 1020-1120: Period 2
- 1120-1145: Break
- 1145-1245: Period 3
- 1245-1325: Lunch
- 1325-1425: Period 4
- 1425-1525: Period 5
Lessons will be normal length and school will begin at 0855 and end at 1525 as usual.

CERN Visit: 06-08 January 2023

Year 13 Parents’/Carers’ Evening: Tuesday 10 January 2023
Appointments from 4pm – 7pm. Slots are 6 minutes long and for shared classes with the teacher who carries responsibility for the class or teaches them most often. Bookings close 2.00pm on Monday 10 January 2023. Parents/Carers will need to prebook for this online event on SchoolCloud.
Sixth Form Application: Deadline extension to Sunday 8 January
The deadline for applications to Sixth Form have been extended to Sunday 8 January. The application form will automatically close at 11.45pm and no applications can be submitted past this point.
Any student who misses this extended deadline will not be able to attend the taster day – there will be no exceptions to this.

Current Year 11 students will be experiencing lessons of the options available to them for A Level study.

ID Card Requirement
All students must have an ID card. Please make sure your child has a card. Order replacement cards on ParentPay.
Year 8 Assessment: Week Beginning Monday 13 February 2023
Please read the email from Mr Haston about the upcoming assessment week which includes advice on helping your child. Any issues, please get in touch with your child’s form tutor.
Year 9 Advanced Notice
Year 9 assessment week is week beginning 23 January 2023. Individual subjects will let students know which day the assessment is. There will be more information from Mr Haston.
Clubs
- KS3 Book Club: KS3 Book Club is starting this Tuesday. Bring lunch to M124 and be ready to pick our first read!
- Music: Music Clubs restart this coming week and Practise Rooms will also be open for use
- Netball: will run on Thursday, but it will be cancelled next week (12 January) due to a basketball fixture
