Awards Week
A big ‘Well Done’ to all the students in Years 7-10 who have received Awards this week. Awards were given out for individual subjects, Core Values and special awards from the Leadership Team and Governors.
Also, congratulations to our top 30 merit earners of each year who have celebrated this Friday with an ice cream!
Parents/Carers Survey – Parents’/Carers’ Evening 2022-2023
Thank you to all parents/carers who participated in the online survey about how you would like Parents’ Evening to look from September. The response of 361 people helped us make informed changes and in response to your questions and suggestions, this is how Parents’ Evening will look:
The successful Meeting the Form Tutor Evenings on SchoolCloud will now be in-school and face-to-face for all year groups including Sixth Form. More information to follow in September.
All Parents’ Evenings will be on School Cloud. We recognise areas for improvement from your comments and are evaluating the length of appointment slots and will inform you in advance when SchoolCloud opens for bookings. We are also creating a code of conduct for parents/carers using SchoolCloud and guidance for teaching staff on how to make appointment time efficient and enable you to ask questions. We are looking into communication methods if you cannot book an appointment with a teacher or the slot runs out of time.
Year 9 Options
The Year 9 Options will be confirmed with students via tutors on Monday 18 July. The process has been really tricky this year in making it work on the timetable but we have achieved 100% success rate with the original options submissions so there should be no surprises. If your child has changed their mind, limited movement is possible within the confines of the timetabled option blocks & the limits of class sizes.
