School Concert
The Spring Concert marks the recommencement of live school concerts on Thursday 12 May, 7pm. Adults £4 Children £3. Main Hall (011), everyone welcome.
Creative Writing Competition Update
Congratulations to four of our Students who have been chosen to have their work published in Empowered 2022 – Shining Stars. There were over 5,000 entrants so our team have done brilliantly!
Summer Term Sports Clubs: 3:30-4:45pm
All clubs are available for all students from all year groups and are recreational – this means it is not just for those who are competitive and want to compete for school!
- Monday – Tennis
- Tuesday – Cricket
- Wednesday – Athletics
- Thursday – Rounders
- Friday – Hockey (when there are no exams on)
Year 7 and Year 8: Author Visit
Celebrated author Jo Cotterill will be visiting school on Wednesday 18 May 2022 to give three workshops centred around writing creatively. A great opportunity some Year 7 and Year 8 students to meet a real-life author! Only 90 places so first come, first served. Details have been emailed to parents/carers. Year 9: Young Life Warriors
Dale Vincent who runs the Young Life Warriors programme will be in to speak with students in Year 9 about Motivation and how to be successful in school on Monday 9 May.

Year 11 Leavers’ Assembly
- Year 11 students: check your school emails and complete the forms sent about the leavers’ assembly and year book.
Year 11 Revision Sessions and Exams News
- Maths Revision Sessions: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 3.30 – 4.30pm in H118 & H120. Foundation and Higher tiers catered for so come along for as many or few as you can manage.
- History – Wednesday 15:30-16:30:Mrs Hunt will be holding History revision sessions on Wednesdays after school running up until the exams. Room M115. We will be revising in order Medicine, Germany and Cold War (Conflict and Tension).
- Religious Studies – Mondays 15:30-16:30:Ms Whittock will be holding RS revision sessions on Mondays after school running up until the exam. Room M027 3.30 – 4.30pm
- English After school Revision Sessions -Thursdays 15:35-16:30: Are you traumatised by all the blood and death in Macbeth? If this triggered a fear response in you (so much that you didn’t understand the play) then Mr Karimjee will be offering Macbeth counselling sessions in M217 afterschool on Thursdays. Don’t suffer in silence. Sessions run from 3.35-4.30pm.
- English Revision Sessions – Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 15:25 – 16:30: in M125 Mrs McLarnon will take requests in terms of what you want to revise. You can let me know in advance or on the day.
