After many years of faithful service, one of our minibuses has been replaced with a new one. Last week saw the delivery of our lovely new bus, complete with updated graphics and up-to-date comfortable interior.

Heart of England School are delighted to take delivery of its new school minibus. Having fundraised over a number of years, Principal Jacqueline-Hughes Williams received the keys to the 17-seater nearly-new minibus, and paid tribute to the local organisations who had supported the school with fundraising. Thanking Balsall Parish Council, Berkswell Parish Council, Balsall Common Lions, Lloyds Bank plc, Rotary Club, and dozens of current and former school families who donated money towards the minibus, Ms Hughes-Williams reflected on the huge community support that had made this possible.
“We are so grateful to all the organisations and individuals who have helped us obtain the new bus,” said the Principal, “It will certainly get much use and be a real asset in the opportunities it opens up for our students.”

With an abundance of away sports fixtures, school trips and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expeditions already booked to use the new minibus, it heralds a return to off-site activities curtailed during Covid. As with previous school minibuses, the school will be lending the minibus to other local charitable organisations to use, with Scouts already booked in to use it for a number of weekends this summer.
The school is now turning our attention to raising money to replace the second minibus, which is currently off the road awaiting repair. If any local businesses or organisations are interested in supporting this new fundraiser, Ms Hughes-Williams would be delighted to hear from you!
