• Ask them to navigate on short journeys – can they follow a map and give you instructions?
• Talk to your child about world affairs from the 6pm news or on an app. What is their opinion? Where in the world?
• Encourage your child to question the world and help them develop an opinion through debate
• Look around your local area or places you visit. Discuss why it looks the way it does – countryside or city? What natural features are there?  (rivers/hills) Types/age of housing? Services available?  What would it be like to live there?
